Awana
After much discussion, we have decided to make tomorrow night, Monday, March 16, our final night for Awana for the year. We know it's disappointing to cancel the closing night carnival, so we will have our Dot Night review along with some special games, treats, and prizes tomorrow instead. We have full faith and trust that the Lord is in control, and believe this to be an appropriate response to the current coronavirus situation. Books, pictures, character trait awards, and any last minute mail will be delivered to you in a few weeks. If you have questions, concerns, or needs please call the church office at 419-752-2914.
AWANA is an international children's ministry that teaches Bible basics and memorization. The acronym, AWANA, is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15, "Approved workmen are not ashamed."
Every AWANA meeting consists of an Opening Ceremony, Handbook Time, Council Time and Games.
Awards can be earned each week as kids memorize Bible verses and complete fun activities in the AWANA handbooks.
Kid friendly songs, Bible lessons and stories help them understand the Bible, teach them about Jesus, and show them how to live their lives for him.
We are excited to be starting another year of Awana Kids Clubs here at the Ripley Church! Awana meets on Monday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Currently we offer three clubs: Alpha for kids in K - 2nd grade, Delta for kids in 3rd & 4th grade, and Omega for kids in 5th & 6th grade. Registration forms will be available at the Information Center or you can download a registration form.
