Week of May 21 - 27, 2017
For more information contact the church office
We will be bidding Pastor Kurt and his family good-bye a week from today as they prepare to move to Iowa. Join us next Sunday, May 28th, after the service as we gather in the Ministry Center to say farewell to the Barmans. We will share sweet treats (provided by the Diaconate) and sweet memories (provided by you).
The Vacation Bible School staff is looking for a few things you might be able to help with . . .
- White icicle lights (the kind that hang from your house gutter)
- Volunteers to help cut out paper snowflakes
- 25 stray single white socks
- 50 glass jars with lids (small/medium size)
- 100 black socks
All the items above are needed by June 4 and can be dropped off at the church office. If you have any of the following things, contact Susan Hamman.
- One lightweight sled that can be pulled
- Two soccer goals
- Eight jump ropes
If you would like to help supply cookies and/or powdered lemonade mix for VBS, please sign up at the Information Center. Full details are on the sign-up sheet.
The Diaconate Committee would like to gauge the interest in a group tour of the Ark Encounter. If you are interested in knowing about the potential tour or you have a completed survey to turn in, please see Diane Scherz after the service.
Come join an introductory group of hand bell ringers that will ring during church on Sunday, June 25. Participants should have completed the 6th grade and be able to tell left from right and count to four. No musical experience is necessary! Practices will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the church on five Thursday evenings from May 25 to June 22. To participate or to provide childcare for mothers of small children who might like to participate, please contact the church office.
Even if you forgot to contact the church office ahead of time, come anyway and give this a try!
The Women’s Ministry Committee will be arranging a trip to the Ohio State Fair on July 31st to see For King and Country live in concert. Contact persons: Kelly or Kelci Reynolds; more details in next week’s bulletin.
