The Women’s Ministry team is planning three ‘On the Porch CONNECTIONS’ Bible studies this summer. The first will be Thursday, June 7th, at 10:00 a.m., at the home of Jennie Grose. ‘On the Porch CONNECTIONS’ will include Bible study, fellowship, and light refreshments. We look forward to making connections among the ladies in our church.
Imagine the thrill of traveling back in time...you could meet heroes of faith like Abraham, Moses, and Gideon. You could visit ancient Greece and Rome and the first Christians. You could meet the most important person who ever lived!
Discover Jesus from eternity past to eternity future in the Time Lab VBS, JUNE 11th – 15th, 9am – noon. Jesus is the most important man ever - a man who was not just a man but also God. One who turned the world upside down. One who existed outside of time! You can register now for VBS by following the link below.
Time travelers realize every nanosecond counts. That’s why we are asking for your help now. The deadline for donating items will be here in a blink of an eye!
CRAFTS VBS craft supplies are needed. We need the following things: 100-200 clear 2 liter plastic bottles and/or empty Pringle cans, 100 empty soup cans, and some pool noodles. The things can be dropped off at the church office.
SNACKS Check out the snack and cookie sign-up lists downstairs at the Information Center. There are many fun things to donate, like mini-marshmallows, Fruit Loop cereal, and 30 pounds of sugar! Oh my!
Looking for the perfect adventure this summer? Join us for a sleepover at the Creation Museum! Take a flashlight tour of the exhibits—and watch out for dinosaurs!
After closing for the day and turning the lights down low, the Creation Museum’s hundreds of exhibits will be yours to explore at your own pace—from the Garden of Eden to the Dinosaur Den.
You’ll head off on a scavenger hunt, then settle in for some entertaining and educational videos, and grab a bedtime snack before lights-out at midnight.
You will roll out your mats and sleeping bags in the darkened halls and settle in for the night. Girls and boys sleep separately in different exhibit areas.
All Creation Museum tickets are valid for two consecutive days, so you can stay and tour the museum the next day. The Ripley Church will be paying for those going from our church body; ages 10 to 18 -and any adults brave enough to sleep on the floor! (Family and friends will be welcome to come along at a reasonable fee.) All you’ll need is some spending cash, lunch & gas money, and of course your sleeping bag, flashlight, and dinosaur repellant!
If you want to know more details or you’re ready to sign up for the Creation Museum OVERNIGHT ADVENTURE, July 31st & August 1st, please call the church office or speak with Deb Dittman.
Koinonia Group will wrap up for the season this Sunday, May 20th. We look forward to coming back together in the fall and hope to see you there.
Are you on The Ripley Church Prayer Chain? If so, please stop by the Information Center and pick up your copy of the updated calling list.
